Tech Talk

How Does the Technology Work?

When microscopic oxygen and water molecules in the air enter the purification units, they pass through a honeycomb matrix. While inside the matrix, the molecules are transformed into friendly-yet-powerful oxidizers.

When they’re released back into the air, the supercharged molecules seek and rapidly destroy contaminants, fungi, mold, and odor-causing bacteria – even ones that try to hide in hard-to-reach cracks and crevasses.

How does the technology work today?

The answer is, better than ever. The technology has proven effective on air and surface contamination and is almost 100% effective in the elimination of airborne and surface bacteria, viruses, mold, fungus, and volatile organic compounds.
These Volatile Organic Compounds include:

  • H1N1 (Swine Flu)
  • H5N8 (Bird Flu)
  • Staphylococcus aureus
  • Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)
  • E-coli
  • Ethylene

Why Are Air Purifiers Even Necessary?

The EPA has noted that indoor air pollution has increased in the last decades. Why? New construction codes and better quality made buildings more airtight, trapping harmful gases and particles inside the home. Aging buildings show decaying construction material causing pollutants to contaminate the indoor air you breathe.

This is why the EPA recommends air purifiers as one possible solution to improve indoor air quality.

I have Asthma

According to the American Lung Association individuals who suffer from asthma may be at a greater risk for health complications associated with poor indoor air quality.

Aerus’ ActivePure Technology is designed to destroy MRSA, E. coli, fungi, mold, and many other harmful contaminants. It effectively reduces the irritants that trigger allergy & asthma symptoms.

I have bad allergies. I am going to tear out my carpet

Tear it out if you are not going to keep it clean. If you are committed to the simple task of keeping carpet and area rugs clean, leave them be. Carpet and area rugs are the best and largest air filters in a home. The cleanest homes we have tested have the largest amount of carpet.

My air quality can’t be poor because I use the best HVAC filter and change them regularly

Almost all HVAC systems are imperfect. HVAC systems are not sealed and ONLY RUN 25% of the time. They will run less in mild months. The best HVAC filter you can get for an HVAC system is no where near HEPA standards.

I don’t need a vacuum because I have all wood floors

If you do not have any carpet you need to vacuum more. Hard surfaces like wood do not hold dirt. All the dirt that settles on hard surfaces ends up back in the air. Most vacuums are safe for wood surfaces and are a much cheaper, safer and more efficient method of cleaning method than swiffering, wet or dust mopping.

I have mold at home

Mold can be very dangerous to your health. This is why good Air purifiers eliminate mold spores by filtering the airborne spores from the air and trapping them within the HEPA filter.

Odor Control

Let’s face it. Our life is messy. Are you a pet lover? Furry family members bring love – and odors. Are you smoking? Do you have guests? Odors, dander, dust are part of our life.

Our Technology destroys odor and contaminants. It eliminates Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), and it reduces irritants that cause red and itchy eyes and stuffy noses. Guaranteed!
